Weight, size and a Hipobuy shipping estimate
Some information is available while you browse. Other details only become clear once your items are packed.
Know what each field means
Hipobuy’s estimate asks for the destination, product type, weight and dimensions. Read these as information about a shipment, not just a product.
- Destination
The country or region receiving the parcel.
Known before packing- Product type
The kind of items you intend to ship. A department name alone does not confirm which shipping options accept a particular item.
Known from the chosen items- Weight
The packed parcel’s weight includes the packaging, not only its contents. Follow the unit displayed by the estimate field.
Accurate after packing- Dimensions
Length, width and height describe the outside of the parcel. A seller’s item dimensions may not describe the packed box.
Accurate after packing
A lighter parcel can still have a minimum charge
A first-weight charge covers an initial weight bracket. Being lighter than that bracket does not necessarily reduce the charge in proportion to the weight.
The applicable route and its charging rules still matter. There is no single weight-to-price conversion to apply to every parcel.
Revisit the estimate when the parcel is packed
Early inputs can help you explore options. Packed weight and dimensions give you a more useful basis for reading the estimate.
If you are still deciding which items to include, plan the parcel contents first. For a payment already requested, see item and parcel payments.
